Confidentiality
As an accredited member of the BACP, I abide by their ethical framework which means that everything said to me in our sessions will be confidential unless I feel there is a risk of serious harm to yourselves or others or a legal requirement for me to break that confidentiality. I will always endeavour to discuss this with you before doing so. All counsellors attend supervision where your details will always be anonymised.
In compliance with GDPR, your data is stored securely. Any data will be destroyed after 5 years.
Appointments
I offer face to face or online sessions. If you need to cancel a session you are advised that you must give at least 24 hours’ notice. Less than 24 hours’ notice will mean the session will be charged at the full rate and payment will be required via bank transfer at the time of cancellation. Repeated cancellations or missed sessions may result in the termination of our contract. Non-attendance will incur the full cost of the session. I ask that you let me know if you feel you are coming to the end of requiring counselling so we can schedule in an end session and allows me to book in new clients.
If coming for face-to-face sessions, please do not arrive before your appointment as I may be seeing another client. If coming for couples counselling, please only knock when you have both arrived. The session will not take place if only one person from the couple arrives, but the session will be charged at full cost.
Payments
For online sessions please pay for your session in advance via BACs
For face-to-face sessions, you can pay via BACs before your session or with cash or via card reader at the session. Using the card reader will incur an additional 2% transaction fee.
Bank details will have been sent in an email to you.
